Michigan Occupational Injury Rates Continue to Decline


The number of workers in Michigan injured on the job continues its 20-year trend of decline, according to a recent report released by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). According to numbers released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Occupational Injury and Illness Rate in Michigan fell to 3.1 cases per 100 workers, down from 3.3 for the year prior.
